EA have announced four EA Spotlight events that will feature in the build-up to the EA Play main event, teasing a FIFA 22 reveal date.
The EA Play 2021 main event is to take place at 6pm BST on Thursday, July 22, 2021, with EA confirming that the event will be around 40 minutes long and will feature what’s next for EA games like Battlefield 2042, Apex Legends and possibly FIFA 22.

FIFA 22 platforms
There is no official word yet on which platforms FIFA 22 will be available on, but considering how early we still are into the current console generation, we'd be very surprised if it wasn't the exact same list as FIFA 21.
That would mean a standard version FIFA 22 will be available on PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and Google Stadia. An advanced version is likely to be released for PS5, Xbox Series X/S and Windows (although the latter only got a standard, non-next-gen edition last time around).
FIFA 21 became available to play on Google Stadia from March 2021, but it is not clear how, if at all, FIFA 22 will be rolled out for the platform.
It also remains to be seen if FIFA 22 will be a playable title on Nintendo Switch, with recent iterations of the game being little more than a legacy game with a lick of paint applied.

"All of our new EA Sports games are designed for next-gen console platforms including FIFA, Madden, NHL and EA Sports PGA Tour," Wilson said during an EA conference call in May.
